I recently stayed at Parochial House for a wedding at Darver Castle. The owner, Mairead, welcomed us with tea and coffee before driving us to the castle. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The shared bathrooms were also well-maintained. I loved having access to the kitchen for making my own breakfast and the homemade marmalade was delicious. The house itself has a charming, 19th century feel, making it a unique and cozy place to stay. Mairead and Denis were amazing hosts, offering us rides and going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

    Totally recommend this hotel.

We had a truly memorable stay at a charming Irish country house. The hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The homemade brown bread and marmalade were a delicious treat. The property was spacious and beautifully maintained, and we felt at home using the communal areas. The hosts even offered to drive us to a family event, which was a thoughtful gesture. we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this hidden gem.

The old house was nicely renovated and had a cozy atmosphere. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The host was friendly and made us feel at home. We also enjoyed the flexibility of making our own breakfast from the kitchen.

The shared bathrooms were a bit inconvenient, especially having to leave the room to use them. They were nice, but could have been closer.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at a lovely countryside house called Old Parochial House Guest House. It felt so homely and the beautiful house had stunning gardens. the family who runs the place were incredibly friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond for us. the rooms were spacious and well-equipped, offering great value for money. They even provided transportation to a nearby wedding free of charge. the self-service breakfast was a treat, with plenty of options to choose from. We were truly bowled over by our experience and wouldn't stay anywhere else when we're back in the area.

No negatives from this place. 😊.

The host was warm and accommodating, even making arrangements for a member of our group with a physical disability. the taxi service to and from nearby Darver Castle was reliable and efficient. the well-stocked fridge allowed us to cook our own breakfast, with delicious homemade bread and marmalade. the spacious property gave us access to comfortable common areas with flat screen TVs. the option to have tea, coffee, and snacks at any time was a convenience. the hosts went above and beyond, allowing us to rest when we arrived early in the morning and offering to drive us to a family event at no charge. the sense of staying in a charming, 19th Century home added to the experience. the beds were comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.

Felt super comfortable, no complaints at all.

We had access to a spacious drawing room and sitting area with flat-screen TVs. Mauread provided a tasty hot breakfast and offered eggs, bacon, and sausages for us to cook. Plenty of cereals, fruit, and tea/coffee available. Mauread and Denis were amazing hosts, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We were allowed to rest undisturbed upon arrival and Denis even drove us to a party without charge.

Felt very special, nothing to complain about.
